Thank you for your thoughts, Katie. Jesus' last gift to His disciples was His' command to love as He loves us. He told them He was going where they couldn't go and His first words after that statement: I give you a new commandment: love as I have loved you. I am beginning to let Him do that through me to the 'least of these', and sometimes just to those I live with. Don't you think the Holy Spirit will some way let us know of what the 'other' truly needs? The best surprise in the day is when we can give love to someone else when we didn't expect it could or would happen.

Love your last sentence: “The best surprise in the day is when we can give love to someone else when we didn't expect it could or would happen.” So true. And I like the Holy Spirit lets us know what the other needs.” Sometimes there is painful honesty. At any rate I want to think on these things.

Also Paul Kingsnorth was interviewed by a monk on Mount Athos who said that time was a gift because it allows us the time to grow in loving others. It’s on his Abby of Misrule Substack if you want to listen.

At any rate, thank you so much for your wise, wise words and support.

Thank you for saying that helping the elderly, sick, and infirm is a good deed and not a “should.” I’m tempted to scorn some of the elderly I transport. Especially those that have advanced dementia. I have a hard time finding the “person” in them. I know and get the sense that they are like babies again, but I struggle against the thought “babies with baggage.”

Your words on loneliness are present for me. I know a brother at my church who is lonely. He reminds me of a puppy sometimes: cheerfully coming up to me and saying, something too loud, Christ is risen! He has a minor social delay, and boy does he remind me of my blood brother! He needs attention and I’m trying to live by “if you haven’t been fed become bread.”

I hope your air clears up and strength returns to your legs.

That must be quite a work you’re doing. There must be something very holy about our bodies for Jesus to be incarnate. And for us to take care of people whose minds are gone. I hear you on that thought “babies with baggage.”

Your church brother and real brother sound like me because I can come off as too much in assorted situations.

We got a good dose of chemical today but it’s the normal stuff we usually smell.

Thank you so very much for your thoughtful comments. May God draw near as you do this challenging work.

Nice writing! See geoengineeringwatch.org - it seems to be a definitive site imo. In general people are just beginning to appreciate how insane this concept it. The UK loves it! It is used as warfare. We have so many satellites (37 at last report powered by nuclear power aboard) engaged in a variety of nefarious things around the world it is mindboggling. Blocking the sun is funded with billions globally. Be Well and Be Blessed!
