A Collection of my WNIJ Perspectives about Politics Since we are well into election season, the following are some perspectives I wrote for our local NPR station, WNIJ, with regards to our political environment. I am reading them in chronological order.
Thanks for sharing. I especially liked the piece pointing each reader to personal repentance: "Maybe we should look at our discomfort with regards to Trump’s behavior, see how he is reflecting us back on ourselves, and change our ways."
How important to not demonize nor idolize! God has made the way simple: Be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger. And Jesus modeled speaking the truth in love. The two are inseparable. Jesus is the WAY, and then the Truth! The result is LIFE! Here I live with my son, daugther-in-law and family. The peace we have the privilege of walking in flows from the author of peace who is teaching us the joy of speaking the truth in love.
Oh yes God has given us a simple way. Speaking the truth in love is not always easy. What a gift you are to me and you must be to your son and his family.
