Interesting; thoughts meander like a river, not knowing what's beyond the next bend, oscillating between the Holy and the human, the ideal and the real... Took me by surprise when I almost cried reading about the little bird at the end.
I dunno. I’m so muddled myself these days….but I’m trying to keep my mind and heart open to signs that are ordinary and extraordinary and give me hope.
I believe it, you're being muddled. I attended the service for your husband. What a great good man and what a loss for you. Have you read C.S. Lewis's A Grief Observed? There's a lot of comfort there. You and Charlie are in my regular prayers.
"What time I am afraid, I will trust in You" We trust in the One who tasted death for us, and now calls us to taste and see that He is good. Thank you, Katie.
Oh my goodness what a wise and helpful word: "We trust in the One who tasted death for us and now calls us to taste and see that He is good." So so true. Thank you for being a faithful reader.
Thank you for this. "Everything said as personal to himself." What a great line. Love, love, Robert Frost. And thank you for reading my work so faithfully. I need to get over to your chapters again...
I don’t even know where to begin with this one, Katie. But I also feel the weirdness in the world these days. I don’t think it’s devils because I think that they are too busy elsewhere. I like the “Spit on Mary if she appears!” That’s some good advice. Prayers, Sister, and may the Peace of Christ Jesus be with you! 🙏🏻✝️❤️
Thank you so much for your blessing and wishes for peace. Yes on the world being weird. But remember all will be well, all will be well, all manner of things will be well.

Yes they sure do meander! Well didn’t mean to make you almost cry. Sent you and Vanna a card today.
Thanks So Much Katie
You’re very welcome.
Thank you for reading and commenting.

A small bird flew before me. He was careful
To put a tree between us when he lighted,
And say no word to tell me who he was
Who was so foolish as to think what he thought.
He thought that I was after him for a feather—
The white one in his tail; like one who takes
Everything said as personal to himself.
One flight out sideways would have undeceived him.
—The Woodpile, Robert Frost
