In Transfiguring Time Olivier Clement says, “...Those who make even the least gesture in the name of the Lord have more impact on the destiny of the world than any assembly or army.
Very profound and meaningful article on the power of prayer. Keep up the good work of reminding us how to love kindness, do justice and walking humbly with God plus praying for our brothers and sisters in their time of need.
Thank you so much. Your faithful reading of my blogs is so encouraging like the Lord saying this is the way, walk in it as far this writing work. I’m so grateful.
This is so beautiful. Especially the story of the candles. If ONLY we could trust! That we matter. That our sighs matter. That our words matter. To God. If we could put down weapons, of not just guns, but pain, words, anger, and just TRUST that the Incarnation IS, was and IS to come! That we are SEEN. We are HEARD. Every single one of us. Lord, Teach me to be gentle. Teach me to be kind. Teach me a soft answer. Teach me left handed power is more beautiful, more profound and is truly the salvation of mankind. And thankyou, that on the cross You showed us how to deal with a blind world, drunk on power, lost in darkness, howling in anger and pain. That little by little, each of our heart candles show a Light, getting Lighter, until Your Self is revealed in each man, woman and child on this planet. May Your kingdom come. As Your will is done, on earth, as it is in heaven.
Such wise words. Yes. Thank you for your prayer. Even our trust can come from him. "And the life that I live I live by the faith OF the son of God..." Gal 2:20. That little article "of" says it all. That even our faith can be a gift from him. And I do believe there are times when it is easier to trust than others, that we are on a long walk. Yes, may His kingdom come, will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Father God, THANK You for this beautiful call to prayer that You moved Katie to write for us. Please bless Bruce and Katie and all of us with Your Power and Your Peace! Come, Lord Jesus! Come quickly. And when You soon Return, please find us faithful in Your Fields of Harvest! Holy Spirit, FILL us all with Your Love! In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen!
